Forget about the harsh UV rays that come in through your skylights during the daylight hours. The simple energy-efficient solution is here for blocking unwanted incoming glare, including from the shade's sides.

Why energy-efficient? The unique honeycomb-style design insulates your interior from heat coming in through your window. With some allowance for light filtration, this cellular shade also shields your furniture from direct UV glare. Another perk? Your moisture- and water-resistant cellulars also provide insulation from outdoor noise. Keeps heat trapped indoors in the winter.

These light, but durable cellular window coverings are made of 100% sturdy and easy-to-clean polyester with 3/4" pleats. They complement our Luxe Modern Light Filtering Cellular Shades, as well as our Luxe Modern Light Filtering Arch Shades. Find the perfect combination for your unique and personal sense of interior design. Plus they nicely cover those hard-to-reach skylight windows.

The standard rails can be upgraded to a classic, metallic finish for the rails (with matching end caps), in either nickel or oil-rubbed bronze. Side tracks and hardware for the motorized version comes in complementary white, as do the headrail and bottom rail.

The manually operated version of these shades comes with either a telescoping 5-10 foot extension pole available for easy operation from below. The manually operated version can also be mounted in your skylight window horizontally, if you find that more convenient for your use (manual can be mounted horizontally at 0% slope; for motorized horizontal installation, a 5% slope is required). In addition to completely blocking out light from the sides, the side tracks also hide hanging cords on the side. This skylight covering is easily installed on vertical, sloped and horizontal skylight windows, and can open from the top or bottom. The adjustable spring tension system can adjust for any window type, simply by tightening or loosening tension for easier movement as needed during installation.

The remote control motorized upgrade version comes with all white aluminum rails. Motorization also offers the option to upgrade to the automated SelectConnect Bridge for programming and automating your shades. Control your window coverings from the convenience of your tablet or smartphone. Solar recharger for motorization/automation is also available.

Motorization upgrade comes standard with one 14-channel remote, including one 3V battery, that can power up to fourteen (14) individual window treatments.

I have been looking at the motorized skylight shades for a long time, but the reviews about installation problems and tech support problems almost turned me away. I ordered and installation was pretty easy minus being in a skylight 16' up. I watched their YouTube video and install was straight forward. My only complaint is the video showed a battery back but they are all rechargeable now and need the charger, however they let you order without a charger. Packaging for shipment was well protected.

Cape skylight

Installation was fairly easy, blind works fine, very quiet. However your video shows a battery wand with 8 batteries, but there is a single battery pack. The one I installed years ago had the battery wand. I received the solar charger and hope it works as well as the last one I installed My only complaint is difficult to reach customer service

The enclosed instructions for installation are completely inadequate. The written directions and the pictures are ambiguous at best. Someone could probably install the shade if they have already installed many of these previously, but if you're trying to do this for the first time by yourself, be prepared for a high degree of frustration in having to remove and re-install almost all of the parts in figuring out how they are supposed to go together - the instructions are worthless.
