"I love these shades, I really do. This is my fourth set in my house, and I plan to do the rest of my windows in these shades. However, they are a huge pain in the rear to install. The brackets are L brackets with a screw hanging down that slips into the upper portion of the blinds and is secured with a wing nut. The brackets themselves are difficult to install because 1) the screw that fits into the blinds obstructs access to the screw holes to attach the brackets to the wall and 2) the screws the company sends are flat heads, which means your drill and screw driver will slip out about a thousand times while you’re attempting to install the bracket. Do something about this insanity. It’s a terrible design, especially given the quality and beauty of the actual product, the blinds."

Recommendations

Deductions may vary +/- 1/8". Do not account for factory deductions when measuring for your shade. Deduction information detailed in the table below.

Shades over 72" wide may have a vertical seam sewn into the material.

Standard valances are 6" in height. For windows less than 18" wide, the valance will be 4" in height.

Standard outside mount returns are 2-3/4" for Cordless, and 2-3/4" for Continuous Cord Loop. No returns on inside mounts.

When selecting the Privacy or Blackout liners, the liner color chosen is on the inside of the shade while the outside of the liner (street side) is always white. Charcoal liner will have a grey street facing color.

Liners are made of 100% polyester.

Due to the natural characteristics of the product, the finished height may vary up to 1" longer than ordered height.

Light filtering liners in white, beige, and tan liners are white on the street side. Khaki liner is off-white on the street side. Charcoal liner is gray on the street side.

Blackout liners in white, beige, tan, and khaki liners are white on the street side.

Privacy Liners and blackout liners are attached to the back of the shade where small slits are made in the lining at the ring cord-guide attachment locations. Sewing pin holes may be visible causing light gaps. When Edge-Bindings are also ordered, the privacy lining will be sewn under the binding.

Edge binding is 5/8” wide.

Shades ordered in a cordless lift with edge binding will only have edge binding on the sides of the shade and valance. Not the bottom of the shade and valance.

The safety device is required by law and must be applied on chain loops and prevents free-hanging loops in operating chains. Install the safety device at the maximum distance possible from the control mechanism to prevent slack in the loop.
