I'm an old widow who was in desperate need of new shades. Worked nights for decades and have had light blocking for most of that time. These roller shades are not that easy to find. I measured, ordered and when they came, I was happy to find they worked on the old hardware. So 5 mins and they were both up. They are beautiful, go up and down easily and do a great job of keeping it dark! I would buy again, but I think these will last my lifetime.
