The Homestead Collection features dope-dyed, or solution-dyed, fabrics, a dyeing process that reduces water waste and makes the shade fade-resistant. With two fold styles – standard pleated or upgraded soft fold – these shades cater to country casual or chic modern looks.

Recommendations

IMPORTANT MEASURING TIP: If either No-Drill Blinds Headrail option is chosen, take all three standard width measurements (top, middle, bottom) to check for variance, but be sure to input the exact measurement of the top of your window frame into the width field. Compare the three measurements, and if the variance between them exceeds 1/4", No-Drill Blinds Headrail may not fit properly.

The No-Drill Blinds Headrail and Built In No-Drill Blinds Headrail options are only available for Inside Mount, and require 2 1/2" of depth to install. They are not recommended for use with PVC or metal window frames.

Factory will deduct approximately 5/8" off the width of the No-Drill Blinds Headrail, and 1/4" off the width of the Built In No-Drill Blinds Headrail.

No-Drill Blinds Headrail is only available in the color white and will be visible after installation, with or without valance. The Built In No-Drill Blinds Headrail is fabric wrapped to match the material of the shade, and is not visible after installation.

The locking mechanism on the No-Drill Blinds Headrail will be located on the opposite end of the control side selected for Continuous Cord Loop. The locking mechanism will be located on the right side for Cordless and Motorized options.

All shades ordered with the Built In No-Drill Blinds Headrail will have a small amount of excess fabric on the side of the shade to cover the locking mechanism and minimize light gaps.

The safety device is required by law and must be applied on chain loops and prevents free-hanging loops in operating chains. Install the safety device at the maximum distance possible from the control mechanism to prevent slack in the loop.

Fabric Roman shades may have wrinkles in the material after installation. Most minor wrinkling will smooth out over several days. For quicker results, you can use a garment steamer on the back of the shade, being careful to avoid direct contact with the fabric.

Deductions may vary +/- 1/8". Do not account for factory deductions when measuring for your shade. Deduction information detailed in the table below.

Fabric color can vary from one dye lot to another. To ensure that all materials are from the same dye lot, please order shades for the same room at the same time.

Multiple shade orders of different heights may not have the same size pleats. We recommend ordering all shades using the longest length in the room and with the same lift system.

Fabric-wrapped headrails come with upgraded Cordless lift only. Continuous cord loop and Motorized lift options have metal headrails with fabric attached to front only.

If the 6" valance upgrade is chosen, the fabric will fall behind the headrail, closer to the wall and valance will cover the headrail.

Only Outside Mount shades ordered with a 6" valance will include valance returns.

When no valance is selected fabric will fall over the top of the headrail (waterfall style), and can be 2+ inches from the wall on outside mount. We recommend 4+ inches be added to the width of your shade when outside mounting to prevent light gaps.

Cordless shades without the 6” Valance upgrade will come with a mini-valance on the back of the shade to hide the mechanism.

The mini-valance on the back of the Cordless shades will be the color of the chosen liner, or the color of the shade if no liner is chosen.

Optional blackout liner comes standard ivory, and both standard and blackout liner colors will be visible from street. Color of unlined shades will be seen from exterior.

Hold down brackets are not available on this product.

Motorization Details

At least one remote is needed per order. The 5-channel remote allows you to operate up to 5 shades on a single frequency. When adding a multi-channel/frequency remote, please select 'No Remote' for any additional motorized shades you want to add and power with.

Motorization Instructions

Rechargeable remote-control Motorization lift system upgrade includes rechargeable motor battery and charger.

Battery charge will last up to 6 months based on an average-sized shade raised and lowered twice a day. It takes approximately 4 hours to recharge the motor when fully depleted.

Remote reaches from approximately 65-80 feet away from shade.

Remote is already programmed to the motorized shade. All that is required is to connect the battery to the motor and your shade is ready to operate.

Shades are full blackout! They work perfect for our nursery. Material looks of great quality. Something that I would point out is that the length measurement of the shade is exactly what our window is. I would had prefer to add a few more inches to the length so it falls on the window frame. Just my preference. But overall, I recommend SelectBlinds, this is my 2nd purchase from them.

Beautiful Cloth Shades

These shades are gorgeous, beautiful, rich-looking cloth that should last a long time. They are like decorative curtains and shades all in one! The backing protects the shade from the sun and provides thermal cover on the window. In January, the room definitely feels warmer with the shades drawn. I'm sure they'll help keep the summer heat out also. I love them, they really dress up our log cabin home just right.

These arrived perfect in every way. The shades were easy to install, the right size, and very high quality. I have had custom made Roman shades before and there are usually tiny holes where light shines through. These shades by Select Blinds don’t have that at all. I highly recommend and will be ordering again for other windows in our house.
