Why It's A Must Have

As part of our collaboration with the Victoria and Albert Museum, these William Morris Roman Shades allow you to enjoy light and privacy control. A perfect DIY project for the bedroom or any room.

Choose a pleated or soft fold for the easy-care fabric. Most minor wrinkles will smooth out naturally over several days. For quicker results, use a garment steamer on the back while avoiding direct contact with the fabric.

The headrail comes in a matching wrapped fabric; or upgrade to a tailored 6” valance. Pick the Cordless Lift for a crisp look or Motorization for more convenience.

IMPORTANT MEASURING TIP: If either No-Drill Blinds Headrail option is chosen, take all three standard width measurements (top, middle, bottom) to check for variance, but be sure to input the exact measurement of the top of your window frame into the width field. Compare the three measurements, and if the variance between them exceeds 1/4", No-Drill Blinds Headrail may not fit properly.

The No-Drill Blinds Headrail option is only available for Inside Mount, requires 2 1/2" of depth to install, and is not recommended for use with PVC window frames.

Factory will deduct approximately 5/8" off the width of the No-Drill Blinds Headrail, and 1/4" off the width of the Built In No-Drill Blinds Headrail.

No-Drill Blinds Headrail is only available in the color white and will be visible after installation, with or without valance. The Built In No-Drill Blinds is fabric wrapped to match the material of the shade, and is not visible after installation.

The locking mechanism on the No-Drill Blinds Headrail will be located on the right side.

All shades ordered with the Built In No-Drill Blinds Headrail will have a small amount of excess fabric on the side of the shade to cover the locking mechanism and minimize light gaps.

Fabric color can vary from one dye lot to another. To ensure that all materials are from the same dye lot, please order shades for the same room at the same time.

Fabric Roman shades may have wrinkles in the material after installation. Most minor wrinkling will smooth out over several days. For quicker results, you can use a garment steamer on the back of the shade, being careful to avoid direct contact with the fabric.

Deductions may vary +/- 1/8". Do not account for factory deductions when measuring for your shade. Deduction information detailed in the table below.

Multiple shade orders of different heights may not have the same size pleats. We recommend ordering all shades using the longest length in the room and with the same lift system.

Fabric-wrapped headrail comes with cordless lift only. Motorized lift option has metal headrails with fabric attached to front only.

If the 6" valance upgrade is chosen, the fabric will fall behind the headrail, closer to the wall and valance will cover the headrail.

Only Outside Mount shades ordered with a 6" valance will include valance returns.

When no valance is selected fabric will fall 2+ inches from the wall on outside mount. We recommend 4+ inches be added to the width of your shade when outside mounting to prevent light gaps.

Cordless shades without the 6” Valance upgrade will come with a mini valance on the back of the shade to hide the mechanism.

The mini valance on the back of the cordless shades will be the color of the chosen liner, or the color of the shade if no liner is chosen.

Optional blackout liner comes standard ivory, and both standard and blackout liner colors will be visible from street. Color of unlined shades will be seen from exterior.

Hold down brackets are not available on this product.

Motorization Details

Remote is already programmed to the motorized shade. All that is required is to connect the battery to the motor and your shade is ready to operate.

Rechargeable remote-control Motorization lift system upgrade includes rechargeable motor battery and charger.

Motorization Instructions

Battery charge will last up to 6 months based on an average-sized shade raised and lowered twice a day. It takes approximately 4 hours to recharge the motor when fully depleted.

Remote reaches from approximately 65-80 feet away from shade.

At least one remote is needed per order. The 5-channel remote allows you to operate up to 5 shades on a single frequency. When adding a multi-channel/frequency remote, please select 'No Remote' for any additional motorized shades you want to add and power with.

Beautiful and sturdy

I ordered custom William Morris roman shades with the self-install feature. They arrived sooner than expected. They are beautiful and the blackout lining really works (although of course as inside mount there is still a bit of light around the edges). The self-install feature worked very well, but I ordered a long blind (70") and they do sag just a little in the middle. If I were to do over I may have chosen not to use the self-install mount but to get a regular mount with middle bracket. But the blinds are exactly what I ordered and look great.

Just installed new flat roman shade with V&A fabric on large 3-section Andersen window over our kitchen sink. The no-tools mounting really is as simple as advertised - it only took a few minutes to unpack and install. The motorized control operates smoothly and can be adjusted to any height. And the fabric - simply the most beautiful and tasteful available (and I searched every vendor). We found the perfect palette to complement our eucalyptus green kitchen island.
