These are good solar shades. The filtering to protect furniture is just right while still maintaining the view. I did order samples to see the differences between 5 and 10%. Install was fairly easy. A few things I don't like are that quite a bit of the silver mounting hardware is visible, against the black shades and dark wood stain of the window, even with the plastic covers in place. I may make my own valence to hide it. Then, the solar shade fabric could have been 1/4 inch wider. There is a sliver of direct sunlight that still gets through a few hours of the day. To fix this, I got two pressure rods, one for the top and one for the bottom to hold the fabric back, closer to the window, and close the gap.
