This Designer Room Darkening Dual Shade does all of the above, and makes it look easy in the process. Dual shades are often referred to as “Zebra shades” because of their unique ability to offer the functionality of traditional horizontal blinds, while offering the utility of a solid roller shade. This custom dual shade’s opaque vanes alternate with sheer fabric to fully close, or serve as a partially open blind, to make a real fashion statement that’s all your own.

Just think: Control the incoming light to meet your needs, or opt for fully closed privacy when you prefer. And talk about style! Freshen up your media room, bedroom, or wherever else you might want it to be nice and dark when you need it to be. You can go with the standard Continuous Cord Loop lift system, or with a remote control motorized lift upgrade. You can operate your shades while you’re relaxing by using the available remote motorized lift system upgrade. Power and program your shades individually, and then operate them one at a time, or all together from the same remote.

You’ll also be happy to know that this dual shade is so easy to keep clean while keeping its fresh, crisp new look intact. Just feel the unique, dark, one-of-a-kind ombré-like fabric finish, alternating with the sheer fabric, in impressive horizontal stripes. Sturdy aluminum headrails and hem bars are color-coordinated to the fabric for a clean, unhampered appearance.

IMPORTANT MEASURING TIP: If No-Drill Blinds Headrail is chosen, measure the exact width of the top of your window frame and input those dimensions into the width field. Do NOT take the smallest of three measurements, which may cause your No-Drill Blinds Headrail not to fit properly.

The No-Drill Blinds Headrail option is only available for Inside Mount, and requires 2 1/2" of depth to install. It is not recommended for use with PVC window frames.

Factory will deduct approximately 5/8” off of the No-Drill Blinds Headrail, regardless of lift style.

When No-Drill Blinds Headrail is ordered, factory will deduct 1/2” off of the width and height of your fabric.

No-Drill Blinds Headrail is only available in the color white and will be visible after installation.

All brackets are white and will be visible at the top of the headrail

Deductions may vary +/- 1/8". Do not account for factory deductions when measuring for your shade. Deduction information detailed in the table below.

Side-By-Side Alignment: If you are ordering shades that are the same height for side by side installation, please call/text our Customer Care team before the order is placed to notify us which (if any) shades you would like us to align for you.

Products come with 6" of extra fabric to conceal roller.

Continuous Cord Loop comes with a nickel chain.

The safety device is required by law and must be applied on chain loops and prevents free-hanging loops in operating chains. Install the safety device at the maximum distance possible from the control mechanism to prevent slack in the loop.

Shade must be installed evenly to avoid fraying on sides

Motorization Details

At least one remote is needed per order. The 5-channel remote allows you to operate up to 5 shades on a single frequency

Remote will operate shade up to 65-80 away

Remote comes programmed to the shade. If multiple shades are ordered they will all come programmed to the remote. One remote per room is recommended for convenience

Rechargeable remote-control Motorization lift system upgrade includes rechargeable motor battery and charger

Motorization Instructions

When adding a multi-channel/frequency remote, please select 'No Remote' for any additional motorized shades you want to add to and power with it

A full battery charge will last up to 4 months based on an average-sized shade raised and lowered once a day. It takes approximately 4 hours to recharge the motor when fully depleted

Motorized shades ship in "transportation" mode to prevent shade from accidentally operating. After installation the motor needs to be activated. See instructions to activate shade
